Managed at the Chelichele Station in Gedeb, Ethiopia, this coffee is sourced from over 500 small local farmers who grow their crops in small garden plots at high altitudes ranging from 1950 - 2050 metres above sea level.
Worka Chelichele has undergone natural fermentation, where cherries are placed on African drying beds soon after harvest, dried for 3 days under shade, followed by a further 19 days in direct sunlight.
The beans from Chelichele Station are noted for their size and density, resulting in robust and versatile flavour profiles. This coffee’s high elevation and diverse heirloom varieties makes it a highly sought after coffee, suitable for a variety brewing methods.
